It is a darker side of femininity that happens in my work. Real relationships always have a flipside, like two sides of a coin, and my work is my own attempt to understand that. I studied every single medium but painting in college. I took as much drawing as I could but was never encouraged in my development as a draftsperson. Drawing was a means to an end, not a finished product of itself. I finished school with degrees in three-dimensional media. Having been out of school for a few years, I have come to realize that art is what you make of it, not what other people tell you it is.
