Lloyd used to produce small biro drawings whilst at school. Later at art school he abandoned other disciplines and regained his interest in this household medium. For the last couple of years he has exclusively worked in biro pen. His intense almost gothic studies draw influence from northern Renaissance painters such as Lucas Cranach and Albrecht Durer, and a deep interest in 18th and 19th century botanical studies.
