Russ began to draw at an early age and kept doing so. In 1995 he gained a BA Hons in Graphic Art and Design from Leeds Met University, specializing in Experimental Film and Animation. On leaving the comfort of the educational system he was left with debt and some pencils and bounced through some of the worst jobs known to man, but kept drawing and painting. Always learning and never satisfied he began to develop and hone his computer skills on an ageing Mac. His current work is a hybrid of traditional media and digital imaging, focusing on human idiosyncrasies both physical and emotional resulting in distorted forms both subtle and extreme.
