Having grown up within the climate surrounding skateboarding and punk rock culture in the mid-80s, he developed a dynamic interest in Art, Music and the creative process in general. Following receipt of a B.F.A. in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design in 1994, Kevin began to further explore the possibilities of artistic creation through experimentation and improvisational technique.

While primarily a painter, Kevin also enjoys working with kinetic communicative forms such as film, sound and sculpture. Recent US exhibitions of his work include dates in Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco; as well as internationally in Japan and Sweden. In April  2006, deciding his 33rd year to be significant and feeling the need for personal challenge, Kevin left his rural 1.5 acre estate in Charleston, for a modest studio apartment in San Francisco, CA. Since his relocation, he has exhibited frequently, and continues adding dates to the schedule. In years to come, Kevin intends to increase his presence and recognition within the global art theater, enabling him to travel often and take sporadic hiatus amongst the marsh grasses, pluff mud and under crowded confines of Carolina.
