TOM BAGSHAW

CARLES GOMILA

AND INTRODUCING

FRAN WILLIAMS

Fran Williams' work is continually seeking to investigate and exhaust the language of paint.

Evocative figures appear from her paintings which are both immediate and haunting.

The expression and energy of paint itself is at the heart of Fran's work.
Using the human form as subject matter she moulds and manipulates paint and other media to re-create the emotion and turmoil which echoes that of the human experience

Tom Bagshaw’s new print releases draws its themes from the Yōkai (Yoh-kye), a term for the ghosts, goblins, animated objects, transformed animals, ogres, demons and human freaks of Japanese legend. These characters feature in countless folk tales, paintings and prints - often depicted with as much humour as horror because they are as charming as they are terrifying.
